Iverson Riddle Developmental Center. The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the painted finish on all interior and exterior walls of all 90 buildings & wood structures on campus. Painting applications will consist of applying finishes by brush, roller, or conventional spraying. Additional duties include prep, patch, prime, seal, stain, paint, and polyurethane. This position is also responsible for maintaining and painting of doors and frames, custom cabinetry, furniture, specialty metal or wood items. Moreover, this position will glaze windows, stripe and mark asphalt, and pressure wash. JIRDC Maintenance Department staff are designated Mandatory and required to work during adverse weather events and facility emergencies as needed and requested. Management Preference:

- Working knowledge of the standard practices of the Paint Trade.
- Ability to follow oral or written instructions.
- Current and valid NC Drivers License.
Physical Requirements:
- Must meet physical requirements to wear OSHA approved respirator, including receiving Asbestos and Lead Paint O& M training. Must have good balance & eyesight, and the ability to perform heavy tasks as required.
