**Description**
JOB DESCRIPTION:
+ The Painter/Plaster Drywall Finisher performs industrial/commercial finishing and patching of plaster and drywall constructed walls and ceilings.
+ Provides assistance in the preparation for an application of various types of coating.
+ Mixes and matches paint, stain, and other finishes to job specifications.
+ Applies paint, stain, and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers, or sprayers.
+ May hang wallpaper.
+ Must follow all safeguards, rules, and regulations.
+ Performs other related duties as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ A high school diploma or equivalent.
+ Five years of experience in plastering and sheetrock finishing.
+ Proficiency with furniture and equipment refinishing, the use of paint spraying equipment and the application of paint to road surfaces.
+ Must satisfactorily pass a Medical Respiratory Clearance Test and a Respirator Fit Test prior to beginning work and on an annual basis.
+ A valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record.
+ Some positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop and twist.
NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University
location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
