Job Summary: This position is responsible for painting and sandblasting heavy equipment, oil field pump skids, generator packages, and related equipment in a shop environment.Essential Functions:Performs painting preparation process to assure quality paint applicationOperates painting or coating tools on assigned equipment to improve the appearance that results in customer satisfactionStraightens body panels and fendersFills small dents that cannot be worked out with body fillerFiles, grinds, sands, and smooths filled or repaired surfacesSands or sandblasts areas to be painted and cover bumpers, windows, and trim with masking tape or paper for protectionPrimes and paints repaired surfaces with care, skill, and detail using applicable manufacturer paints and standards; details equipmentMaintains paint booth and painting equipment.
