Respect Job Summary:The Stacker is responsible for properly stacking cases on pallets in accordance to the customer specifications. They are to handle the cases and stack them to insure safe transportation. All the cases are to be placed on the pallet with the correct labels. Essential Job Functions:
- a quality product that meets or exceeds our customer requirements such as but not limited;
- Ensure pallets are not broken and are in good condition before using.
- Make sure cases are properly stacked
- Place cases of eggs on skids.
- Confirm that all cases are properly labeled. If a case is found to be missing a label attach the correct label per customer requirements to the case.
- Stack cases straight on pallets while keeping orders organized as they are coming off the packer/stacker.
- Damaged cases are to be placed in designated area to be reworked
- Comply with all USDA regulations, Iowa Cage Free Good Manufacturing Practices, SQF, Safety Programs, Biosecurity Policies and Procedures and Food Defense Programs.
- Properly identify and document pallet completion according to the daily production run plan.
- Wrap pallets per customer requirements
- Resolve as many immediately-correctable issues as possible in the course of his/her normal daily activities
- Repair and maintain equipment where skill set and training allow in order to improve the reliability of the equipment.
- Understand how to safely operate the various equipment in your area; such as the tape machine, pallet wrapper, pallet jack, and pallet scale.
- Immediately report any mechanical problems or poor quality conditions to the Plant Supervisor or Maintenance staff where help is needed for repairs
- Value your safety and the safety of your co-workers.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations
- Report all unsafe conditions to the plant supervisor immediately
- Keep your work area clean
- Clean eggs up off of floor as soon as possible
- Place trash in the appropriate receptacle
- Be mindful of all moving equipment in your area.
- Assist in creating a One-Team environment by communicating effectively with all plant supervision and staff.
- Perform all other tasks as requested by management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prior egg grading machine operator experience an plus but not mandatory
- Knowledge and ability to use a computer
- Reading and comprehensive skills necessary to follow instructions, and document carton usage
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be able to twist and bend
- Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time on different surfaces, including concrete
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be able to reach and lift above the head
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
