Coordinates and completes palliative care consults. Available as a consultant to patients, families and staff (hospital and hospice) regarding end of life issues and palliative Assisting with education and training of hospital employees; M - Ds, nurses, medical students, residents, social work and other members of the healthcare team as appropriate Coordinates with the Administrative Director and Medical Director annual strategic planning for palliative care program Oversight of program budget, review of performance measures, and use of staff resources proportional to activity and patient care Assures compliance with the Joint Commission and other regulatory standards Participates in quality assurance and assures compliance with and implementation of any resulting recommendations Qualifications : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
