Job DescriptionPrimary PurposeOversee the safe and environmentally compliant execution of electrical equipment maintenance while sustaining project work within the asset. Provide input on the annual electrical maintenance budget which includes overall headcount, training, software updates, equipment, and safety cost for the current and upcoming fiscal year. Foster a harmonious working relationship within the maintenance team to achieve a world class maintenance organization. Assist the Planning and Asset Integrity leads in achieving the maintenance goals of the Maintenance Work Process KPI's. Develop a team to create electrical equipment maintenance how to procedures, training modules and hiring criteria for department crafts. This role is a strategic arm working under the direction of the Maintenance Execution Manager to assure the organization achieves electrical maintenance goals while operating as efficiently and safely as possible.Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs field observations, leadership field walks, JSA reviews, toolbox meetings, field self-verifications, and competency assessment field assessments.
  • Ensures the maintenance team is performing effectively by reviewing KPIs and monitoring systems and processes that will assure both short-term and long-term success within the maintenance function.
  • Ensures appropriate qualifications, practices, standards, and metrics are measured and are adhered to in accordance to PALNG standards. Accountable for the performance of the contract workforce both from a safety and reliability perspective.
  • Performs annual and semiannual performance reviews with PALNG direct reports providing positive and constructive feedback for self-development. Provides guidance in achieving career goals with each report.
  • Ensures daily continuous improvement techniques are being applied through routine meeting cadences. Drives day on day improvements in how we operate the facility as well as improvements in our management practices.
  • Develops the workforce creating a succession plan for all key roles utilizing employee goals and training to identify protentional candidates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Fiscal/Budget Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and managing the department budget along with projecting future budget cost to include manpower, equipment, and training.

  • H.S. Diploma/GED General studies Required
Experience
  • 8 Petrochemical, Refining, Power Generation or LNG Required
  • 5 Comparable leadership roles Required
Skills and Abilities
  • Extensive knowledge in implementing best practices for maintenance. Advanced
  • Strong leadership abilities to build positive team environment, manage and influence team performance including mentoring. Advanced
  • Analytical thinking and ability to utilize concise data and information while working through problems and implementing solutions. Advanced
  • Ability to apply strong written and oral communication skills while presenting and participating in discussions with internal and external project stakeholders. Advanced
  • Possess positive attitude and has the ability and poise to be professional during crucial discussions with senior management, and/or while presenting critical information requiring management decision to overcome issues and concerns regarding the site operations. Advanced
  • Extensive knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, PPT, Visio to convey information with clarity through presentations and reports. Advanced
  • Extensive experience in meeting project goals and objectives utilizing forward looking approach. Advanced
  • Extensive experience in managing and mitigating maintenance risks. Advanced
  • Strong working knowledge of permit to work and safe isolation practices. Advanced
  • Thorough understanding of the maintenance work process and systems. Advanced
  • In-depth knowledge of operating site safety, environmental, and emergency response programs. Intermediate
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of how to read and interpret P IDs . Intermediate
  • Ability to manage multiple and complex issues and work independently. Intermediate
  • Understanding of competency development programs and supporting tools and practices. Intermediate
Licenses and Certifications
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) Required
  • Valid Driver's License Required
