Essential Job FunctionsEssential Job Functions:
- Provide direct literacy support for students in Grades K-3 in a small group setting
- Collaborate with literacy specialist or designee to develop support model
- Support differentiation strategies in reading, writing, and spelling
- Provide feedback on student progress to literacy specialist or designee
- Teach explicit skills to improve literacy outcomes
- Provide students positive and constructive feedback
- Regularly seek guidance and feedback from literacy specialist or designee

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, teachers, parents and staff and to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to work independently and assume responsibility without direct supervision; to prioritize work and to follow oral and written instructions.
