Summary/ObjectiveParaeducator II - The Paraeducator II works with students throughout the school, unlike a Paraeducator I who works with students within one or several classrooms. The Paraeducator II provides instructional and clerical support under the supervision of a classroom teacher or a program coordinator/administrator. Paraeducator II positions exist to support student achievement in special education resource rooms and alternative school, and in specific areas such as literacy and career and technical education. This position is eligible for medical benefits. Employee will work eight hours per day Monday through Thursday during core business hours. Required Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentAA degree, 60 college credits from an accredited university, or satisfactory results on an Arizona state-approved competency exam (ParaPro) Satisfactory criminal background checkPreferred Education and ExperienceWorking with students or children.Required Certifications/LicensesMay require First Aid/CPR certification and/or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) TrainingWork Authorization/Security ClearanceMust be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card with an IVP number through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
