Paralegal Paralegal locations New York Boston Charlotte Philadelphia time type Full time posted on Posted 9 Days Ago job requisition id R-2743 Dechert LLP is searching for a paralegal for its Finance and Real Estate practice group, which is part of Global Finance. The paralegal will work independently to assist attorneys and senior paralegals with organizing files and documents, research, and closings, in addition to other responsibilities. The paralegal will support attorneys and other members of the Finance and Real Estate practice group, in addition to interacting with clients, outside counsel, and external vendors. The paralegal will need to think critically to determine work priorities. They will need to efficiently solve problems during fast-paced and pressure-filled transactional matters. Paralegals have a minimum annual billing target of 1500 earning hours. Job Description ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Prepare and inventory signature pages. Order and review lien searches and corporate organizational documents. Manage and organize documents and files related to complex finance and real estate transactions. Assist with closings by preparing and finalizing transactional and legal documents and creating closing binders. Attend closings outside of the office and transport documents and files. Draft and file UCC financing statements. Assist with miscellaneous projects assigned by attorneys, paralegals, and practice group management. Contribute to and foster an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation. Perform any and all other duties as necessary and as assigned for the efficient functioning of the Practice Group and the Firm. QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. A demonstrated ability to work in a professional office setting. Real estate and/or finance experience preferred. Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with other employees. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to maintain confidential information. Ability to think critically and analytically in a pressured environment. Systems Required: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), iManage, Workday, Carpe Diem, Box, DocuSign, and PDF software. Additional Job Description At the time of this posting, the salary range for this position in New York is $62,500 to $84,000 annually. Actual compensation is commensurate with job related knowledge, skills, experience, and location of the position.
