Overview of Position Earthbound is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our in-house legal team, supporting various departments but primarily our Licensing team. This role will report into our VP of Legal and will primarily be responsible for drafting and reviewing legal documents and agreements. Currently Earthbound is operating in a hybrid model in office Monday - Wednesday and remote/flexible on Thursday and Friday. Job Functions: The Paralegal will be responsible for the following:
  • Maintaining internal processes for approving, negotiating, executing, and filing contracts.
  • Maintaining internal databases as well as contract management and work-flow systems (e.g. monday.com, etc.)
  • Review and draft legal documents related to intellectual property, including contracts, and provide professional feedback.
  • Collaborate with business development, licensing, and design teams to provide concise feedback on contracts and legal documents.
  • Advise internal and external clients on updates and feedback concerning contract administration status.
  • Attend internal meetings and summarize discussions for department leadership.
  • Maintain knowledge resources and provide feedback for process improvements.
  • Apply project management techniques and tools.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant.
  • In house experience a plus.
  • Experience reviewing legal documents.
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Experience with intellectual property (e.g. copyrights, trademarks).
  • Experience conducting legal research including trademark databases (e.g. USPTO).
  • Works proactively to ensure all tasks are completely in a timely manner.
  • Adaptable to shifting priorities.
  • Highly proficient in MS Word.
  • Can provide a writing sample or example work-product/project.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 depending on experience
