DescriptionOur client is a national firm representing institutional and individual investors, who suffered financial losses resulting from corporate fraud and malfeasance in violation of federal securities and antitrust laws. The firm has significant experience in prosecuting multi-million-dollarlawsuits and has previously recovered billions of dollars on behalf of investors. They are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team.Primary Responsibilities- Provide paralegal assistance at all stages of complex litigation matters pending in federal and state courts, including class actions and multidistrict litigation, in the areas of healthcare, antitrust, securities, consumer protection, commodities, data breach, privacy law and large-scale cost recovery litigation.- Cite check, fact check, proofread, and format pleadings, motions, legal briefs, trial documents, client communications, requests for proposals, and firm marketing materials. Generate tables of authority using Thomson Reuters Drafting Tools or Word.- Prepare for filing and file pleadings, motions, and other court submissions in federal and state courts pursuant to applicable rules of procedure and electronic case filing rules and guidelines.- Assist with legal research and case investigation.- Assist with the coordination and management of both offensive and defensive discovery, including organizing, coordinating, and preparing documents for review and production, digesting depositions and indexing documents and document productions.- Maintain and organize the electronic case file to maximize efficiency within the litigation team.- Assist in the preparation for depositions and oral argument.- Coordinate with process servers for service of complaints and subpoenas.RequirementsQualifications- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate. 5+ years' experience as a litigation paralegal preferred. Notary public a plus.- Impeccable organization, attention to detail, and time management skills.- Ability to support multiple attorneys and projects simultaneously.- Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Adobe.- Team player and self-motivated.- Ability to shift focus and perform under tight deadlines.- Proficient in e-discovery platforms such as Relativity, and legal research platforms, such as Westlaw.- Experience with cite checkingRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
