Job Description Primary functions include: Under attorney review and supervision, provide a broad range of paralegal support services including, but not limited to:
- Gathering factual information for discovery
- Coordinating and conducting document searches
- Review, organize, and index documents
- Claim and/or subpoena investigation and response
- Opening and closing matters in matter management system / database
- Draft case summaries
- Creation and maintenance of databases
- Preparation and analyzing reports from matter management systems
- Coordination with in-house and outside counsel and clients
- Legal and internet research; and performance of general paralegal duties
- Review and update legal hold lists across various databases
- Review and analyze offsite records stored at Iron Mountain for data integrity and destruction eligibility
- Review and analyze updates to federal, state & local recordkeeping laws for applicability to the company
- Provide support on electronic data remediation projects
- Provide assistance to BASF Corporate insurance group, including placing insurers on notice of new claims, reviewing coverage position letters, following up with insurers, and running reports on insurance matters.

Aptitude and willingness to work with complex procedures. Willingness and ability to assume and take ownership of new tasks and responsibilities. Excellent ability to multi-task and manage a diverse docket and various legal department projects and initiatives. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point. Ingredients for Success: What We Look For In You Basic qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Paralegal Certification required (preferably from an ABA-accredited program) Preferred qualifications: Bachelor s Degree (BA/BS) preferred. Familiarity and experience with the Electronic Discovery Reference Model 1-5 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm and/or corporate legal department handling a diverse portfolio of matters including, but not limited to, asbestos, product liability, toxic tort, patent and commercial litigation. Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $29.00-$31.25 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
Please Note: Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
