Job Description Would you like to join a leading law firm specializing in multiple practice areas including business/commercial law, estate planning and family law? We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal/legal secretary to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support our attorneys in all aspects. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a professional environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Beginning duties will include - filing, running, answering phones, taking payments, and mini consults with family law clients.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts as needed.
- Will progress to more typical paralegal duties such as:
- Assisting with preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records of all case-related activities.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
- Coordinate and prepare for depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings.
- Track and document billable hours and assist in maintaining compliance with billing policies.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and timelines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Sales experience is a plus.
