Hybrid Work Schedule

Summary Works under the direction and supervision of Sr. Corporate Counsel, Managed Care Contracting to assist in all aspects of contract preparation process, the Clinical Integration Network (CIN) initiatives, and payor data release, dispute and compliance matters along with related filings and maintenance of tickler systems. Acts as a representative of the department and the Network in communications with other departments, payors, external law firms, governmental agencies and the courts. Job Duties

  • Under attorney's supervision provides initial contract, correspondence and litigation document drafting as assigned.
  • Schedules meetings, and preparation sessions, maintain, tickler file for work, and filing/negotiation deadlines.
  • Serves as representative of department in interactions with other departments, payers, outside law firms, governmental agencies and courts.
  • Maintains and produces logs of cases, contracts in process, CIN initiatives, payer related data release agreements and other legal work related data as requested by Management.
  • Manages data and information collection processes for the contract negotiation process.
  • Engaged in varying degrees for each paralegal on cost/expense documentation and reports

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3 years as a legal paralegal, operating in the capacity of a legal assistant/paralegal.
  • Knowledge of legal functions and procedural/substantive civil litigation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and succinctly.
  • Proficiency with MS office products and familiarity with electronic court dockets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or Paralegal Certificate.

Physical Demands Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
