- High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a legal support role.
Job Duties:
- Conduct legal research using electronic databases (Westlaw, Lexis) and traditional methods.
- Perform verdict searches and review discovery responses.
- Prepare and assemble document productions, including redacting documents as necessary.
- Draft correspondence, briefs, and motions, including tables, affidavits, and exhibits.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including digesting deposition transcripts and organizing trial motions and exhibits.
- Maintain and develop spreadsheets to track cases and discovery production.
- Prepare and electronically file documents to NYSCEF.
- Learn and utilize intra-office electronic filing systems.
- Copy and scan documents as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including pdf creation tools, Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to independently manage deadlines.
Misc. Information:
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 9 AM to 5 PM, 40 hours per week.
- Parking: Paid parking available in garage connected to the building or down one block.
- Public Transportation: Shuttle to the Metro North White Plains train station available.
- Interviews: Conducted remotely.
- Training: Training provided for the case filing system called New York Matters.
