Classified - Classified Positions - Paraprofessional/Instructional Assistant - Classroom Paraprofessional Job Number 460####### Start Date Open Date 09/24/2024 Closing Date 10/11/2024 Paraprofessional Head Start- Darrough Chapel ELC Cafeteria and Bus coverage combination Hourly Rate: $12.28 per hour Hours: up to 6.5 hours per school day Benefits: Benefit Eligible Responsibilities: Responsible for providing coverage and monitoring groups of Head Start students on the bus, in the cafeteria, and in classrooms as needed. Willing to learn and follow Head Start performance standards and state early childhood licensing requirements. Ride bus daily to assist bus driver in supervision of children during bus routes to and from school. Monitor Head Start students to ensure they follow bus safety rules. Assist children in to and out of child safety restraints. Participate in annual program self-assessment. Attend Head Start mandatory trainings. This position is needed to maintain state and federal adult/child ratios. Minimum Qualifications: Must possess a GED or higher educational status. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
