The Case Manager II also provides in-home supportive counseling services to clients, completes required assessments, and assists individuals and families by helping to articulate goals and provide needed information. The Parent Educator identifies and assesses client and family needs; coordinates and provides parenting education and support; and informs clients of available community resources. Primary Job Functions1. Assess parent and client needs, provide support, and educate on community resources.
- Facilitate psycho-educational and parenting education services that may include topics on parenting skills, independent living skills, anger management, behavior management.
- Assess family current level of functioning.
- Assess and implement appropriate parenting and family support interventions.
- Determine intensity of intervention needed and appropriate mode of intervention.
- Develop and manage behavior monitoring forms.
- Attend program training; obtain and maintain certification as required.
- Implement parenting and family support interventions of varying intensity and format.
- Actively and regularly participate in peer support networks and forums.
- Regularly review clinical work in peer support groups.
- Develop and maintain client records and program documentation in a timely manner in compliance with all applicable contract and agencies' standards.
- Complete all data collection and reporting requirements.
- Assist with recruitment and engagement of clients.
- Coordinate services with other professionals and paraprofessionals as needed.
- Conduct community outreach as needed.
- Provide crisis intervention.
- Review results of screenings and assessments.
- May support program core components and key functions as directed.
- May monitor interns and/or volunteers.
- May transport or arrange for transportation for clients.
- Provide additional staff training as requested or required.

Job QualificationsEducation, Licenses & Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or in a Human Services related field from an accredited university, required.
- Master's Degree in Social Work or a comparable human services field from an accredited university, preferred.
- Florida Driver's License within 30 days from hire with daily access to a reliable and insured vehicle, required.
Experience:
- Two years of experience working with children and families, required.
- Bi-lingual, English/Spanish or English/Creole, preferred.
- Teaching or training experience, preferred.
