Counsels, coaches and teaches classes to parents who are struggling with parent/child adjustment problems. Develops and conducts professional training workshops for mental health, parenting education and educational community.EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS3-5 years of experience in early childhood development, teaching adults, counseling and providing parenting education programs; Preferred- 5 or moreEDUCATION QUALIFICATIONSRequired: Master's degree in Social Work/Counseling or Education or related field.Preferred: Parenting Center Education Courses. Knowledge base of child development. Master's Degree in Mental Health FieldLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONSPreferred: RMSW, LMSW, LCSW, LPCSKILLS AND ABILITIESKnowledge of child development, early childhood, effects of trauma on parents and children, parenting education.Ability to work with diverse parent populationsThe above job summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by people assigned to this work.
