How your role makes a differenceWhen children have been separated from their parents temporarily so that they can be fully cared for and safe, parents may be working hard to make needed changes so their family can be a strong, safe place for the children once more. Our Bethany team of staff, foster parents and supportive stakeholders work together with parents to provide resources, care, and support to children and their parents impacted by the child welfare system. As a Parenting Time Specialist, you'll be part of a team providing a non-judgmental, supportive experience for children and their parents as you guide them in safe, loving, quality-time interactions and maintaining family bonds. Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Coordinating visits with the children, biological parents, and foster parents in accordance with the courts and/or case plan.
- Serving as a resource of information to meet the needs of the children and their families.
- Using a strengths-based perspective in working with families.
- Attending training, meetings, and supervision sessions to equip you in your role.
- Preparing reports and required documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:What will make you successful
- This position requires a bachelor's degree in human services or an equivalent field of study from an accredited college; or an associate degree from an accredited college with related experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree for some programs in the agency, with two years' child welfare experience.
- Must possess excellent observation and organizational skills.
- Must have the ability to work flexible work hours to include some evenings and weekends.
- Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license with three years' driving experience in the U.S. Must also pass motor vehicle records check and maintain a reliable automobile with proof of adequate insurance coverage.
- Must pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries.
- Must subscribe to and integrate the agency statement of faith and mission statement.
