Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/CustodianDate Posted: 10/7/2024Location: Building and GroundsDate Available: 11/04/2024Closing Date: 10/18/2024Position: Park and Facility Custodian Qualifications: Education Level: A minimum of a high school diploma, its equivalent, or demonstrated proficiency through previous job experience and/or training in related performance responsibilities listed below. Certification: None required Experience Desired: None required Other Requirements: The ability to lift fifty (50) pounds is an essential job requirement. Able to read and interpret basic cleaning supplies directions and/or instructions. Capable of physical exertion to manually lift, push, pull, bend and carry heavy objects and materials. Must successfully pass a background check that is satisfactory to the Board of Education. Performance Responsibilities: Plan and prioritize daily work to maintain park at a high standard Operate mowers, tractors, vehicles and other small equipment Utilize a variety of hand and power tools in park landscape maintenance Maintain landscape, including trees, shrubs, lawn, and other natural park features Clean restrooms and pick up litter around park Perform general maintenance, construction and repair of park and recreational facilities Assist with successful execution and completion of Park and District events Properly clean and maintain all areas of buildings and grounds, keeping an attractive campus Properly operate and maintain building equipment in a timely manner Uses chemicals as recommended by manufacturer Maintains proper labeling of chemicals and stores them in a secure area as recommended by manufacturerDemonstrates knowledge of proper body fluid cleanup techniques Wears safety equipment when necessary Knows where all utility shut offs and fire extinguishers are located Closes and locks all doors and windows at appropriate times Observes and reports any persons in the building or on the grounds who are of a suspicious nature Demonstrates knowledge of procedures to follow in an earthquake, fire, tornado or intruder situation Maintain accurate records of time, materials and equipment used Maintain a positive, customer focused image of the Reeds Spring School District Respond to user concerns, problems, or complaints in a timely manner Assist with other District Departments as workload dictates Perform a variety of duties with event preparation, cleaning and upkeep of the Park as well as all other Parks related facilities and equipment Performs all duties with appropriate safety and security standards Other duties assigned by Superintendent or designee Type of Position: Classified (nonexempt) Reports to: Director of Facilities, Maintenance & Custodial Evaluated by: Director of Facilities, Maintenance & Custodial Term of Service: 223 Days
