Performs law enforcement work involving prevention, detection, and investigation of criminal acts, apprehension and arrest of law violators, and safeguarding of lives and property.Essential Duties and Responsibilities - The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description* Patrols city parks for to prevent, detect, and respond to criminal activity and dangers to persons and property.* Assists Parks and Recreation with administrative and security-related tasks for public events.* Participates in ongoing training and maintains required certification and licensure.* Provides court testimony as necessary.* Performs administrative duties; completes and maintains accurate records and documentation.* Participates in meetings.* Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.* Performs other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNo supervisory authority.
