Where You Will Work:

Manatee Springs State Park

Chiefland, FL 32626

Manatee Springs State Park proves boardwalks aren't only for the beach. The park's 800-foot boardwalk runs through a majestic cypress forest overlooking one of Florida's breathtaking first-magnitude springs. True to its namesake, manatees can be seen in the cooler months, and birds, mammals and fish are spotted year-round. The park also offers 8.5 miles of nature trails and a safe connection to the 32-mile Nature Coast State Trail.

The primary natural features of both springs' parks are first magnitude, crystal clear springs along the Suwannee River. They are very busy swimming parks particularly during the summer months, in rural NC Florida. Manatee Springs is a busy camping park year-round. Fanning Springs is mostly day use, with 5 rental cabins and a Hub of the Suwannee River Wilderness Trail (SRWT). Anderson's Landing, with 14 RV camp sites, a 7-room motel and primitive camping, is the last stop on the SRWT and is currently operated by a concessionaire and the Nature Coast Trail, a 32-mile paved trail.
