Job Description:
POSITION:Parking Director LOCATION:New Orleans, Louisiana HOURS: Full Time COMPENSATION: up to $55,000 salary (Commensurate on experience) ABOUT THE POSITION The Parking Director manages all Valet services for the Saenger Theatre Suite patrons, all event parking activities at the Mahalia Jackson Theater, coordinates parking rentals for TV/movie production studios and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager. PEOPLE, PLACES, and THINGS
  • Recruit and train parking personnel and valet drivers
  • Compile and distribute venue calendars for events, including Armstrong Park
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Generate Purchase Orders
  • Coordinate employee parking duties
  • Coordinate event information to local garages
  • Coordinate Armstrong Park activities with Homeland Security and City of New Orleans
  • Manage parking toll collection and post-show reporting
  • Process employee payroll
  • Manage parking requirements for Broadway group sales activities
  • Supervise and manage maintenance programs for all department equipment
  • Coordinate and manage all communication and venue usage for all television and movie studio rentals.
EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
  • Outstanding communication skills and customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Superb time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Able to contribute positively as part of a team, contributing with various tasks as required.
