Essential Functions:
Patrols and monitors a variety of parking structures, meters, and/or related parking areas for danger, parking citations, and broken meters.
Issues parking citations for illegally parked vehicles.
Communicates with customers and coworkers to familiarize them with city policy and procedures.
Assists customers with understanding how parking fees are calculated and collects meter and fine box money.
Performs various routine clerical duties utilizing standard office equipment to include entering data, answering phones, filing, and performing related duties.
Organizes, and sorts of mail for processing, metering if needed.
Assists with training new enforcement officers.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Performs other related work as required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
No experience required.
License and Certifications
Possession of a valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:
The work is light work which requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to or constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:
Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces. The amount of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium.
Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Handling: Picking, holding, or otherwise working, primarily with the whole hand.
Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discrimination sound.
Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. It occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles.
Mental Acuity: Making rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes.
Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something steady to thrust forward, downward, or outward.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
