Please click here to review the recruitment announcement.The DepartmentThe Visalia Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency serving the public safety needs of the City of Visalia and its approximately 145,000 residents. Parking enforcement services fall under the Traffic Unit and are responsible for providing quality public service through parking enforcement and education. The PositionThis position works independently under the general supervision of the Traffic Supervisor. They are primarily responsible for patrolling assigned areas of the city to enforce parking regulations, ordinances, and laws, issuing citations as appropriate. They maintain various records and logs, assist with traffic control, answer public inquires, and assist with complaints. The Ideal CandidateThe Police Department is seeking a driven and motivated individual who is interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a high level of professionalism and a commitment to serving the community. They will have uncompromising integrity, a strong work ethic, and the ability to exercise good judgment and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and customer service skills are highly desirable.Experience & EducationAny combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge, skill and ability is qualifying.
