Take your career to the next level with us as opportunities for growth and development await!JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Parking Enforcement Specialist enforces the City's laws and ordinances and NH State statutes related to parking. The individual must establish and maintain working relationships with other City employees, law enforcement officers, businesses, residents, and visitors, and provide information to citizens and visitors regarding public parking and general information about the City. Responsibilities include patrolling assigned route(s) for parking infractions such as corner violations, stop signs, fire hydrants, fire lanes, handicap parking, left wheel to curb, obstructing traffic, etc. and issues citations as appropriate, issues Meter Violations throughout the City (primary daytime focus is on downtown municipal lots, garages, and on-street meters and primary overnight focus is on on-street overnight parking ban), responds to citizens' questions, parking complaints/issues in person and by telephone and diffuses situations in a courteous and timely manner. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position, with a varying work schedule, is part of the UAW Clerical & Technical Unit, and provides an excellent work life balance.
