For additional details behind the University of Mississippi classification system please visit Human Resource Compensation PageFamily - Administration Sub-Family - Customer ServiceCareer Track / Level - O1Grade - 1 Min Mid Max $29,120 $36,400 $43,680 Role SummaryFor this position, we're needing an individual who can provide excellent customer service at our DPT front office and our Welcome Center on University Avenue. This person will need to be able to give directions and information to visitors while visiting the campus as well as perform parking permit transactions.This is a Part-Time, temporary position. 25 hours per week maximum.Examples of Work Performed
  • Provide customer service at the Welcome Center on University Ave and DPT front office. Hours will vary depending on our full-time staff. A positive experience by all visitors should be the main goal each and every day.
  • Process visitor parking permits via mobile Point-Of-Sale handheld.
  • Complete necessary paperwork to keep up with visitor parking permits.
  • Verify digital permits via mobile devices.
  • Use a two-way radio to communicate with DPT dispatch staff regarding parking issues.
  • Fill in for DPT staff that are on PTO.
  • Perform similar or related duties as assigned or required.
Essential FunctionsThese essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.
  • Responds to customer inquiries and service requests by phone, email, or chat through the case or client management system.
  • Provides accurate information to resolve customer inquiries.
  • Logs case notes in the case management system for each customer inquiry or request.
  • Escalates issues to customer service leaders or to central units.
  • Redirects customers as best as possible for out-of-scope inquiries.
  • Triages questions and concerns; provides detailed information on items escalated to other business units.
  • Tracks cases until customer requests are fulfilled, or inquiries are answered.
