Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Adele Smithers Parkinson's Disease Treatment Center including, but not limited to, rehabilitative and restorative services.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Rock Steady Boxing program for patients with Parkinsons disease. These responsibilities include: managing Zoom classes, regular communications (telephone and e-mail) to the program participants, managing the program schedule, obtaining medical clearances and program billing.
  • Serve as the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) Coordinator. Duties to include:
    • Respond to inquiries from callers requesting Parkinson's Disease information and connecting them to community resources.
    • Lead support groups.
    • Provide educational programs developed for People with Parkinsons Disease (PWP), care partners and the local community.
    • Maintain a database of Parkinsons Disease specific community resources and referrals to PwP, family members and health care professionals.
    • Provide supportive services for care partners and other significant family members
  • Perform other functions and duties as required.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree is required.

  • Required training in healthcare (e.g., nursing, social work, PT, OT or speech therapy).

  • Must be highly organized and dependable.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.

This is a grant-funded position.

In compliance with local legislation as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, the annual base salary range for this position is listed. New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.

Minimum Salary:USD $50,000.00/Yr.Maximum Salary:USD $54,000.00/Yr.
