May also perform light building maintenance. We have switched most of our small equipment to battery operated. Our crew is fun, serious and professional. Just ask us! Essential Job Duties and Functions:
- Ability to safety operate machinery and maintain equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of the use and care of tools and small engine operations and maintenance.
- Possess an ability to learn and grow with job demands.
- Ability to listen, follow directions, and quickly learn new tasks.
- Will communicate with staff and superiors issues and ideas to remedy and improve our parks.
- To work safely and efficiently while being aware of the surroundings.
- Can work alternate schedules that may include evenings and/or weekends.
- Punctuality, and regular, reliable attendance is required.
- Professionally represent the City of Tumwater Parks Department.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Able to provide quality customer service to all.

Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license. Requires the ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.Position is for six months and the work schedule may vary slightly but will generally be 8 hour days, 5 days a week. Work is outside in all kinds of weather. Weekend work is required. Must be able to work with little supervision. Possible wage increase after successful completion of probationary period.
