EXPERIENCE:
* Five (5) years of increasingly responsible professional administrative experience in recreation or parks and facilities management experience, including three years of supervisory experience.
* Public agency experience is highly desirable.
EDUCATION:
* A Bachelor's Degree in recreation, public administration, or closely related field is required.
* Possession of a master's degree is highly desirable.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATES:
Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license is required. Possession of a valid equivalent is acceptable during the application process.

The Parks & Recreation Superintendent will plan, develop, organize, and direct the operations of the recreational programs, services and facilities for the City. The Superintendent will also coordinate assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies, while providing highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Director to foster a strong departmental culture. Due to the department's operational needs, this position may be required to work one weekend day on a regular basis.
