DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Parole Agent 1, you will have the opportunity to help parolees and probationers resolve any obstacles hindering their adjustment to society, develop treatment plans based on the needs of each individual parolee and probationer, and participate in proceedings by providing testimony regarding the parolee or probationer. Other key duties of the position include monitoring probationer or parolee conduct; acting as a point of contact for the public, probationers, parolees, and their families; and arresting those who may have violated their probation or parole. Field operations agents are assigned state vehicles to ensure they can meet with parolees where they live and work. They work within the community to supervise and guide the transition and integration of parolees. Parole supervision is much more than working one-on-one with a parolee. It encompasses coordination and consultation with a parolee's employer, counselors, and family members. Successful completion of the 12-month training and probationary period will result in a promotion to Parole Agent 2 with an increase in salary! Interested in learning more?
