Our dynamic technicians provide 1-to-1 ABA services in the client homes, AKABA center, and community settings to help kids reach meaningful goals such as building social skills, communication skills, and learning to manage challenging behaviors.Job Type: Part-timePay: $20.00 -$23.00 per hour to start -pay increases by $1.00-$3.00 over a 3-6 month period.
  • Completed the RBT coursework? RBT Certificants start at $22.00/hour and up.
Travel: Our team focuses on assigning cases as locally as possible. Scheduling: 1:1 case matching allows us to create a custom schedule based on your availability, experiences, and our client's needs. During the school year, sessions are usually on weekdays during after-school hours, but the exact timing is flexible and based on client assignments. Weekend shifts may also be available but are not required.Responsibilities: The ABA Tech or Behavior Therapist will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and will be directly responsible for
  • Data collection
  • Implementing individualized behavior support plans
  • Implementing skill acquisition programs
  • Working with families for effective collaboration on client
  • Submitting all required paperwork promptly
  • Attending monthly case review meetings with their direct supervisor
Qualifications:
  • Friendly and energetic, enjoy working with children.
  • Has reliable transportation - access to a personal vehicle. Some of our clients require transport to the center and/or other community activities.
  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities (preferably Autism)
  • Interested in the Psychology field
  • Knowledge of and experience with Applied Behavior Analysis is a preferred
  • Ability to attend an initial orientation.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week (primarily after school hours between 3-8 p.m.)
  • Must be timely and organized
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively within a variety of situations
