PART TIME ACCOUNTANT I - HQ CONCORD (JOB ID: 40859)State of New Hampshire Job PostingAdministrative Division50 Storrs Street, Concord NH 03301On-SiteSOC 13, Band 3Position #TMPPT4988Typical starting pay for this position: $19.57 up to $25.89 per hourUp to 29 hours per weekThe State of NH, Liquor Commission has a vacancy for a Part-time Accountant I.Summary:To monitor, review and analyze financial data for the Financial Reporting Section, implement and follow all NH Liquor Commission rules and policies.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major study in accounting or business administration. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.Experience: One year's experience in accounting or auditing work. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.License/Certification: None required.Responsibilities:Reviews and monitors Fixed Asset and Lease transactions for activity to be recorded into sub-ledgers. Prepare and enter corresponding journal entries for approval by Finance Administrators. Prepare monthly and yearly Fixed Asset and lease report for submission to DAS.Develop accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate analysis, tracking, and verification of accounts to correct general ledger accounts, and assists with data entry and related budget reports as needed.Collects, analyzes, and prepares financial reports regarding a variety of financial data including sales data, revenue, and expenses. Prepare monthly analysis of gift card transactions compared to promotion card transactions and any correcting journal entries necessary between the two card types.Design statistical reports with the responsibility for collecting data and for developing recommendations based upon data collected. Assist with Adhoc reports as necessary.Collects, analyzes, and presents a variety of accounting data using MS add-ins and ERP system, to include queries & uploads; including, but not limited to Net Liquor Profit calculations, monthly and year-end closing analysis.Analyzes accounting modules of the computerized General Ledger and subsidiary records, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Generate periodic reports for management purposes.Prepare and complete tasks associated with the Audit Prep Guide and yearly audits.Provide guidance and backup/cross-function duties with NHLC Finance staff and perform Adhoc tasks required but not limited to research, analysis, and reconciliation.Recognizes that everyone we come into contact with is a customer and treats all with courtesy, respect, and the utmost professionalism.In addition, applicants are subject to a criminal background check and reference check.#J-18808-Ljbffr
