BRIC builds Brooklyn's creative future.About the Part-Time Administrative Assistant Role:BRIC seeks a part-time Administrative Assistant to assist the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Program Officer. The Administrative Assistant will also assist with management of administrative tasks, projects, and communication.What You'll Do in the Role:The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the following in addition to any other projects as assigned by their manager, the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
  • Responsible for providing reliable and consistent office support to the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Program Officer. Managing multiple tasks, problem solving and providing oversight of various projects and daily calendar operations.
  • As needed liaise between the COO and internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent communication.
  • Lead in communication with and schedule meetings, internally and externally.
  • Lead and manage special projects as assigned.
  • Ensure timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives.
  • Prepare letters, presentations, spreadsheets and other documents.
  • Prepare expense reports and credit card reconciliations.
  • Manage all logistics of meetings for the COO: both remote and virtual.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Experience & Qualifications:
    • Three years' experience in a related administrative and managerial position. Experience working in Google Suite required
  • Communication: An emotionally intelligent, values, and results-driven team player who can collaborate across departments and at all levels of the organization. An excellent communicator who prioritizes customer service.
  • Commitment to Equity & Inclusion: Brings experience operationalizing equity within this role.
Other Things to Know:
  • Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $25/hour.
  • Status and location: This is a part-time role (20-25 hours per week), starting immediately. This is a hybrid position, requiring an in-person presence at our downtown Brooklyn office one day per week.
