Job Responsibilities

Operates computerized point-of-sale system/cash register. Enters appropriate information on Student Information System for financial aid students. Completes daily sales report of sales (balancing) and prepares deposits. Provides excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff on a daily basis.

Assists patrons in locating and using library resources, including printed materials, online catalog, Libguides, online databases, and other electronic library resources. Provides accurate informational and directional assistance and individual information literacy instruction.

Performs circulation duties to include checking out library resources, updating patron accounts, collecting fines, etc. Assists with and processes inter-library loan requests and contacts patrons when resources are available.

Maintains Kershaw County Campus Bookstore area in a clean and organized manner. Performs shelving and collection maintenance and keeps Library area clean and inviting.

Maintains library statistics for Kershaw County Campus location. Communicates with Head Librarian regarding library operations, library needs, statistics, and issues.

Assists in physical bookstore inventory once a year. Prepares spreadsheet for book count, counts books, keys inventory on spreadsheet. Keys/verifies cost information on spreadsheet for inventory.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

High School Diploma and 1 year of related experience.
