Class Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of athletic facilities, including supervising participants and programs, assisting special interest groups, dealing with the public and monitoring activities in a variety of areas. Must be able to travel to offsite events. Ability to develop and assist with newsletters and other promotional materials. The incumbent will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical/receptionist duties, as well as general sport field preparation and janitorial duties inside and outside of the facilities.
Essential Duties
* Works with staff and others overseeing the weekend operation of facility rentals that includes: documenting issues, writing work orders, supervising facilities and assisting special interest groups, dealing with the public concerning special events, programs, facility information, property used, enforcing policies, guidelines and rules as to the use of facilities, opening & closing facility and insuring all equipment is properly accounted for, assisting with special events, special programs, etc.
* Assists with the proper maintenance of facilities and grounds daily, performing general housekeeping & maintenance duties and ensuring the facility is in safe condition.
* The work is typically performed in an outdoor environment.
* The incumbent must be able to lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds and will be required to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis.
* Supervising rentals at buildings and pavilions in Gwinnett County.

* This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
* High School diploma or GED equivalency.
* Must be available for weekend and evening work.
* Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
* Valid driver's license is required and must have reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
* Associates degree in Parks and Recreation, Tourism, Marketing or related field.
* Experience in recreation programming, customer service, marketing and tourism.
