Position Type: Teaching/Professional Positions/Adult EducationDate Posted: 11/26/2024Location: Middletown High SchoolDate Available: ASAPClosing Date: 12/13/2024Part-Time Adult Education Data and Records Specialist Reports to: Supervisor / Principal of Adult Education Weekly Schedule: 10-20 Hours / Week, Hours are Flexible (may include occasional evening hours) Hourly Rate: $36.00 / Hour POSITION OVERVIEW The Adult Education Adult Education Data and Records Specialist serves as the point person for various internal activities related to data analysis, program and finance monitoring, student records, adult education staff support, and other adult education functions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed in relation to the position. This is not a comprehensive listing of all the responsibilities or tasks; other work may be assigned when deemed appropriate:
- Serve as the Adult Education Data and Records Specialist including:
- Ensure current and concise data entry and overall program data quality.
- Monitor and maintain grant project tracking, including financial compliance and student and staff records.
- Prepare quarterly, bi-annual, and annual program performance reports.
- Interact directly with the Director of ACE Network regarding the student record system.
- Compile and produce reports, lists, and searches in the student record system.
- Manage and input imperative data and records information into LACES, Schoology, and other adult education technology resources.
- Update and maintain program standard operating procedures, manuals, and policies with the administrator.
- Provide general adult education program support including:
- Provide support to adult education administrators and full-time staff.
- Work closely with the secretary, clerk, and counselor to gather all documentation and create a concise record-keeping system.
- Work with the finance department, administrator, and secretary with grant project tracking including financial compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Below are the qualifications for this position:
- Education
- Graduate-level degree in Education and Leadership preferred.
- Experience
- Experience in working with K-12 and Adult Education programs.
- Experience with Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Docs.
- Experience analyzing grants, program and student data, records management, financing, and budgeting, and maintaining accurate records for internal and external local, state, and federal agencies.
- Experience with eSchool, LACES database, or similar electronic records systems.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- This is a part-time, ten-month, temporary position.
- Part-time hours are flexible and will be on average ten to twenty hours per week.
- This position reports to the Supervisor of Adult Education or designee.
- The successful candidate must complete a Criminal Background Check, Tuberculosis Test (PPD), and Child Protection Registry Clearance before the start of employment.
- Salary will be calculated at a predetermined hourly wage.
- Direct deposit of payroll checks is mandatory, and employees are paid on a lag pay schedule with the first payment made after approximately one month of employment.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS The work of this class is generally performed in a school environment. Work may require the ability to move around the school and classroom.
