Job Description:

Responsible for providing and coordinating orthopedic patient care which includes performing routine office procedures and testing, participating in patient teaching, completing triage which includes the delivery, management and coordination of telephone live calls and Voice Mail; Tasks; Fax etc. Communicating effectively with others and assisting the physician/mid-level provider in the delivery of patient care.

We are currently searching for a Part-Time Certified Medical Assistant at our Central Urgent Care location in Charlotte. This position will be scheduled for 3-4 shift per week. Shifts may be Monday-Friday, 5:30pm-9:00pm and/or Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

In this role you will be responsible for providing and coordinating orthopedic patient care. Additional responsibilities as a Certified Medical Assistant include:

* Assisting physicians and/or physicians assistants with patient care within the clinic setting

* Updating clinical notes in electronic medical systems

* Completing phone triage

* Casting and bracing

* Performing routine office procedures

* Providing patient education

Additional requirements as a Clinical Assistant include:

* Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants, nursing or a college degree in a related field

* Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant, current nursing license, ATC Board certification

* Clinical assistant experience preferred

Clinical Assistants includes these certified clinicians:

* If CMA or RMA, individual must be registered or certified through one of the following national organizations:

* -American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA),

* -National HealthCareer Association (NHA),

* -American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)

* -American Medical Technologists (AMT)

* -American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)

* If EMT, individual must possess Emergency Medical Technician certification

* If ATC, individual must be board certified as Athletic Trainer

Orthopedic Urgent Care Hours:

Monday-Friday, 5:30p - 9:00p

Saturday-Sunday, 10:00a - 2:00p
