Part-Time Embedded Therapist:The Community Partnerships Initiative helps individuals and families heal from trauma, improve mental and emotional wellbeing, and re-establish healthy relationships through collaborative partnerships. We eliminate barriers to receiving mental health care by offering on-site, no-cost therapeutic services that are responsive to client and agency needs throughout the greater Philadelphia area. We are hiring a part-time embedded therapist to provide individual, family and group therapy on-site to families in a supportive housing program in Philadelphia. These families experience complex challenges including intimate partner violence, trauma, adult impact of adverse childhood experiences, family relationship conflict, chronic medical/behavioral health issues, and children's emotional and behavioral issues. Families are identified for therapy based on expressed need, assessed need from agency staff, and readiness/ability to engage in therapy.Responsibilities: This position is expected to take 12-15 hours per week
- Conduct outreach to engage clients in care.
- Meet with referred families to develop a treatment plan.
- Conduct 6-8 individual or family therapy sessions per week.
- Co-facilitate and supervise CFR interns in delivering a weekly therapeutic play group to children of residents, engaging the larger family monthly.
- Design, facilitate and supervise interns in delivering therapy groups for adult residents.
- Meet with agency staff regularly for treatment coordination
- Complete all documentation, evaluation and administrative tasks
- Prepare quarterly reports as directed by the agency and CFR.
- Participate in quarterly meetings with agency/CPI team.
- Attend weekly CPI team meetings and supervision with the Director of the CPI.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in MFT or related mental health field.
- Knowledge and experience working with trauma.
- Knowledge and experience working with children, youth and their families.
- Knowledge and experience engaging clients who are resistant to therapy
- Knowledge and experience with systemically oriented therapy
- Competence in providing culturally appropriate and informed mental health care
- Interest, passion, and experience working within a community site and with multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Interest and some experience in group facilitation with children and families
- License preferred but not required
