Job DetailsJob Location Deer Park - Deer Park, TX Position Type Part Time Job Shift Must Be Flexible Job Category Banking DescriptionShift Hours:Mon - Fri: 8AM - 2PM The Collections Clerk assists with administrative tasks for Collection Department staff to ensure timely delivery of services to members, vendors and outside contacts. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Consistently meet all Shell FCU Service Commitments; Shell FCU Employee Creed and Shell FCU Service Distinctions
  • Accountable to maintain knowledge of and comply with all applicable rules and regulations required within the scope of duties, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act
  • Required to attend annual training sessions as instructed or scheduled
  • Perform job duties and responsibilities in compliance to SFCU policies, procedures, philosophy and standards of performance
  • Maintain Credit Bureau updates within the eOscar system and process credit reporting disputes
  • Process direct credit bureau disputes, respond accordingly to be in compliance with the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) and the FCBA (Fair Credit Billing Act)
  • Responsible for notifying management of any regulatory/process changes issued as it pertains to eOscar
  • Assist in gathering, providing and retaining documentation as it pertains to legal, repossession and/or bankruptcy accounts
  • Process incoming third party agency payments and notate the Collection system
  • Contact storage facilities as storage notices are received; take action if needed
  • Contact delinquent accounts by phone and mail; take appropriate action to bring current
  • Maintains accurate files and reports on all individual collection activity
  • Assist management with preparing reports
  • Provide administrative support to the Collection team and Collection Manager
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

  • Must possess professional verbal communication skills.

  • Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal and sensitive nature.
  • Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
  • Accuracy with numbers and attention to detail.
  • Perform all work within established policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work in an open-concept workspace/environment.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend and stand. May at times be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 15 pounds.
