JOB SUMMARYResponsible to assist in the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of the Service department.Performs quality control inspections on trucks & components and makes recommended repairs based on inspections.Performs road tests as needed to ensure all work has been performed completely & vehicle is safe to operate.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITESInclude the following and other duties may be assigned.
Road test and dyno test if necessary trucks in order not only to help diagnose problems, but also to determine if repairs are complete.Must be familiar with applicable warranty coverage of the entire truck and be able to determine if a repair is warrantable. Inspect all tagged warranty parts as job is completed to verify all necessary parts have been retained & boxed properly for shipment.Must be at work at least thirty minutes prior to time for the mechanics in order to perform any carryover road tests needs from the previous day.Must be willing to work additional hours as the workload and business requires and perform other duties or functions as so directed by management.Must help to insure safe working conditions for all employees.EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSMinimum high school diploma or GED required.WORK EXPEREINCEMinimum two years as a mechanic or CDL driver familiar with pre-trip & post trip inspections as outlined by the Department of Transportation.Want to know more about our family-owned company,Proud that our 1500+ employees view us as the employer of choice!
