Tallassee City Schools Job Description Part-Time Contract Federal Programs DirectorReports to: Superintendent Supervises & Evaluates: All instructional personnel assigned to federal education programs and secretary Qualifications: Valid Alabama teaching certificate, 3 years experience working in federal programs Responsibilities:
- Oversees all federal education programs in the school district
- Works with the superintendent and school administration to establish budgets
- Completes all federal grant applications
- Provides expenditure control on established budgets for federal programs to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Serves as the chairperson of the Advisory Committee regarding federal programs
- Conducts system needs assessments and develops the LEA consolidated plan
- Oversees Cognia diagnostics and the ACIP process
- Evaluates all federal education programs, facilities, curriculum, learning activities, materials and supplies, parent relationships, and teaching practices
- Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required
- Prepares and submits reports and other documents as required by the Superintendent and the Board
- Assists the Superintendent in making recommendations relative to selection, transfer, dismissal, and assignment of personnel for the federal education program
- Works with principals and teachers to enhance student achievement
- Coordinates ESL Services and programs
- Oversees the Gifted Education program and participates in the screening and eligibility process
- Oversees First Class Pre-K, including the enrollment process, budgets, and required documentation
- Oversees fixed assets
- Attends state and regional meetings
- Plans with Superintendent personal professional development activities
- Performs such other tasks as assigned by the Superintendent and the Board
