Position: Part-Time Data Analyst FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Department: Office of Institutional Effectiveness Job Status: Part-Time

(up to 10 hrs. week)

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Hourly Pay: Up to $50.00

Reports To: Kavya Mariboyina, Director of Institutional Effectiveness

Organization and Location:

This position is located at 601 East College Drive, Winnebago, NE, 68071 (Remote option available.)

Purpose of Position:

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness at Little Priest Tribal College seeks a detail-oriented and analytical Part-Time Data Analyst (up to 10 hours per week). This position will be responsible for planning, preparing, and producing various data reports, managing institutional data needs, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in Student Information Systems, data analysis, statistical methods, and data visualization, focusing on higher education.

Job Responsibilities:

* Plan, prepare, and produce regular and ad-hoc queries, reports, and external reporting requirements for organizations such as IPEDS (Inter-Postsecondary Education Data System), NCES, BIE (Bureau of Indian Education), AIHEC-AIMS (American Indian Higher Education Consortium), HLC (Higher Learning Commission), state reporting agencies, NSCH (National Student Clearinghouse), and ATD (Achieving The Dream).

* Query, create, and maintain working datasets from ERP/student information systems (e.g., Campus Caf). Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets using statistical methods and tools.

* Collaborate closely with the Data Management unit to develop and refine institutional databases, identifying data needs, requirements, and sources.

* Use SQL to query data from relational databases and compile data from internal and external sources for reliable analysis.

* Conduct regular data extraction, manipulation, analysis, visualization, and interpretation using tools like Tableau, SPSS, and Excel.

* Create, revise, and manage institutional dashboards; retrieve and present data through institutional dashboards for internal stakeholders.

* Assist with validating compliance reports and data submissions, ensuring accuracy and integrity.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions for improving institutional effectiveness.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a related field is required (e.g., statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related discipline).

* Experience in data analysis, data mining, and data visualization is preferred.

* Proficiency in statistical tools and software (e.g., SQL, Tableau, SPSS, Excel) is highly preferred.

* Familiarity with higher education reporting requirements (IPEDS, HLC, AIHEC-AIMS, etc.) is a plus.

Travel:

Occasional travel is required.

Condition of Employment:

* Must pass a pre-employment criminal background screen.

* Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable.
