About Girl Vow Inc.
Girl Vow, Inc. is a city-wide nonprofit organization founded on the principle of gender-focused intensive mentorship for girls and gender expansive youth aged 12 to 24 impacted by foster care, juvenile justice, and poverty. The organization aims to provide girls and gender expansive youth with the foundation and support they lack through comprehensive, intensive mentorship, crisis management and aftercare, life skills workshops, and leadership opportunities. We work with girls at any stage of the juvenile justice process, and we are currently in secure and non-secure facilities throughout NYC, including Rikers Island and upstate prison's. Within the last year, we wrote legislation that was signed by the governor to establish a taskforce for missing and murdered women and girls of color. The law became effective March 26th, 2024.
Girl Vow is seeking a part-time minimum (25 hours per week) Development Director to grant write, manage fundraising, all grant programming, and oversee budget and finance. This role is essential to ensuring the sustainability and growth of the organization. The person in this role will work closely with the Executive Director and other key stakeholders to ensure that financial and program goals are met.
