The Terrace at The Glen, an enriched housing residence, provides assistance with personal care, medication management and maintaining a healthy diet for residents with the same unparalleled services offered by The Glen.As a member of our caring, compassionate health care team the LPN will enjoy:Flexible scheduleWork with residents that need assistance with daily living, but not nursing home careManagement team that is supportive and will be working on the floor next to you not in an officeFamily atmosphere between staff, residents and resident family members alikeLeader that is very approachable and strong promoter of team work and team engagementContinual development and education on new techniques and skillsGrowing and developing teamLocation with an easy commute from Saratoga, Glens Falls, Wilton, Warrensburg and areas of VermontShadow experiences for those interested in getting additional insight on this rewarding opportunityResponsibilities:The nursing care of residents under the direction of the Nursing DirectorOversee and mentor a team of resident assistantsPass medications to approximately 20 residentsBe able to self-direct with minimal guidance and prioritize tasks efficientlyMaintain detailed documentation and communicate and changes in residents needs to the teamFoster at all times resident independence and freedom of choiceEducation of families to make the most out of their visits with their loved onesWhat you will need:Valid NYS LPN license1+ year of experience working in a direct patient care role handling med passes1+ year of experience as a LPN, but willing to help train the right candidate to further their skillsUnderstanding of assisted living regulationsMaintain the highest level of customer service while completing day to day duties and responsibilitiesCommunicate effectively in a fast pace work environmentEngage within a team settingStrong leadership and mentorship of the Resident Assistant staffThink, act and intervene independently in both routine and emergency situationsPassion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing fieldPay Range: $24.00 - $30.10Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
