St. Paul's is seeking a registered nurse in our health center. This is an academic-year, non-exempt staff position working two evening shifts per week:Evening shift (2:15 pm to 11:15 pm)and attendance of 2 hour staff meeting monthly.Summers and school holidays off.The registered nurse provides quality nursing care to St. Paul's School students in both an outpatient and inpatient setting. This includes but is not limited to: conducting physical assessments, triage of students for scheduled appointments and walk-in appointments, communicating with parents, documenting in an electronic medical record, working collaboratively with the medical director, nurse practitioner and counselors, assisting the physician or nurse practitioner during consultations when appropriate, implementing nursing protocols and other medical/nursing orders for the treatment and care of students, preoperative and postoperative care, collecting specimens for diagnostic exams, provide health education, vaccine administration, and medication administration. Safe medication handling and storage are also an important aspect of this position.Education, Training, and Experience: Must be currently licensed as a RN in the state of New Hampshire. Experience with adolescents or school nursing is a plus. CPR certification must be current.Supervisory Responsibilities:LNALanguage Skills:Good oral and written communication skills.Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning Skills:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in the state of New Hampshire and have CPR certification current. Physical Demands:
