Title: Part-Time Faculty- Homeland SecurityDepartment: Homeland Sec & Criminal Justice InstituteCampus Location: Arnold/Main CampusWork Mode: This position requires regular in-person presence on campus and at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned duties.Work Schedule: variesPosition Type: Part-Time Faculty, ExemptPosition SummaryThe Homeland Security and Criminal Justice Institute is looking for part-time faculty to teach between 1-3 classes in Homeland Security (HLS courses). Courses are available in-person at our Arnold campus, Glen Burnie Town Center location, Arundel Mills location, partnering high schools, and online (synchronous and asynchronous).Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) is committed to enriching the educational experience it offers through the diversity of its faculty, administrators, and staff members. The college will annually review this restriction and, if appropriate, expand the list of states of employment eligibility.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include: teaching, assessing student progress in meeting the learning objectives through formal and informal assessment, meeting required deadlines for submitting grades, attendance, and other information, as requested, and adhering to safety procedures and departmental standards.Required Qualifications:Experience in Homeland Security relevant to HLS course offerings. A master's degree in Homeland Security, Criminal Justice or similar area.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with the CANVAS learning management system is a plus.
