Position Summary: The Humanities Department at Roosevelt University invites applicants for the position of adjunct instructor of American Sign Language. The instructor will teach introductory American Sign Language courses (101 and 102) in person at our loop campus and will require the ability to use our course management system, Blackboard.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Bachelor's Degree in Sign Language Communications or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 18 hours in Sign Language Communications.
Years of Experience Required: 1-2
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Certification/Licensure Required: Appropriate credentials in the field (ASLTA certification or ASLPI Level 4, or Certified Deaf Interpreter: CDI or DI)

Equipment Operated: Standard office technology (computer, phone, etc).
Working Conditions: Normal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Job is largely sedentary, but there is a need to move about the office and buildings frequently. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling is required (typically less than 10 pounds).
