The field inspector will manage their own schedule to ensure all inspections and subsequent reports are complete in a timely manner. This is a part-time, contingent position and is not currently eligible for benefits. They are not intended to prescribe or restrict management's assignments.
- Complete field surveys for all moving conveyances that transport people and/or items. This includes but is not limited to elevators, escalators, man-lifts, wheelchair lifts, and dumbwaiters.
- Complete all subsequent reports following inspections.
- Manage your own schedule to ensure inspections and subsequent reports are completed on time and in a courteous manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
- Thorough knowledge of the installation and maintenance of the conveyance equipment and current elevator code.
- Previous experience in the Elevator industry; QEI/CEI certification is highly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- An ability to pay strong attention to thoroughly inspect the equipment
- An ability to work on top of high-rise buildings and elevator shafts
