JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:The Survey Research Center at The Pennsylvania State University is currently looking for self-motivated, reliable part-time Field Interviewers to administer surveys in a variety of modes (in-person, remotely/virtually). Applicants must be available to work between 5-20 hours per weeks, including evenings and weekends. The successful applicant for this part-time position will gain valuable experience in the collection of social science data and survey administration. Excellent people skills, attention to detail, a flexible and reliable schedule, and a quiet work environment free of distractions are required for consideration. Prior research experience is preferred.Successful candidates will be able to follow a specific protocol;
- Be available to attend mandatory project-related training. Training is in-person or virtual based on the project need.
- Have experience with technology and reliable Internet, particularly for video teleconferencing.
- Be capable of establishing and maintaining a good rapport with study respondents.
- Be organized and detail-oriented.
- Keep detailed records of all work activities.
- Obtain required clearances.
